UPO-MiDiS is a partner of the international conference organised by the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences at Hassan I University in Settat, “La Migration à l’Ère des Crises: Perspectives Juridiques et Défis Humanitaires”, taking place on 1–2 April in Settat and Casablanca (Morocco).
The event brings together academics, legal experts, and institutional representatives from over twenty countries to discuss migration dynamics in crisis contexts, with a focus on international and European legal frameworks, the protection of fundamental rights, climate migration, and flows along the Mediterranean route.
In the plenary session on the first day, Prof. Roberto Mazzola, Deputy Director of the Department of Law, Political, Economic and Social Sciences (DIGSPES) and member of MiDiS Scientific Committee, will present “Migration Dynamics within the Research Axes of the Department of Law, Political, Economic and Social Sciences”, and Dr. Irene Ponzo, Deputy Director of MiDiS and Researcher of DISSTE, will discuss "The Evolution of the Common European Asylum System: From Ambition to Retreat.”
