While public debate on migration is becoming increasingly polarised, the 2026 edition of Festa Popoli, promoted by the Archdiocese of Vercelli in collaboration with UPO, focuses on stories of successfully building a new life in a different country. It explores the factors that contribute to positive experiences, as well as the challenges and obstacles, and discusses measures and initiatives to create the conditions for successful paths.
MiDiS actively participates in the programme. Roberto Mazzola, member of the MiDiS Scientific Committee and professor at DIGSPES, will take part in the opening session on 7 October, while Irene Ponzo, MiDiS Deputy Director and researcher at DISSTE, and Carla Ferrario, member of the MiDiS Scientific Committee and professor at DISEI, will participate in the events on 12 and 17 October respectively.
