The 2025 edition of Festa Popoli, promoted by the Arcidiocese of Vercelli in collaboration with UPO, focuses on the issue of climate migrants. The event highlights how droughts, floods and rising sea levels are forcing an increasing number of people to leave their homelands, with World Bank estimates forecasting over 210 million climate migrants by 2050.
The opening meeting on 1 October 2025 will feature Irene Ponzo, Deputy Director of MiDiS and DISSTE Researcher, and Gloria Zuccarelli, member of MiDiS and DISUM Researcher.
